WHEN WE SAY WE’RE A VERY DIFFERENT KIND OF SCRAPYARD, WE REALLY DO MEAN IT.

OUR FRIENDLY TEAM

To start off with, we’re friendly. I know, odd isn’t it, behind the mountains of mangled metal and piles of uPVC, lifting cranes, balers, cable strippers and shredding equipment are a team of really nice people who will greet you with a smile, help you to sort your materials and show you to your drop-off point – or arrange for a collection or use of our roll-on/roll-off skips. No grumpy faces allowed on site (it’s actually a rule).

SCRAP IS IN OUR BLOOD

Don’t worry, it’s not a medical condition, it’s just that scrapyards are our past, present and future. Our team have decades of experience between them and our boss Louise has been working in a breaker’s yard since she was 22 years old, starting out in a Saturday job as a weighbridge operator. She’s been in charge of scrapyards for the last eight years and most of the team have been with her from the beginning.

CAREFULLY COMPLIANT AND ENVIRONMENTALLY INVESTED

Members of our team are Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) WAMITAB qualified, showing they have the highest working standards in compliance with Environmental Permitting Regulations. The company is FORS accredited, for going above and beyond to ensure all our vehicles meet industry-leading standards for minimising our carbon footprints. And our weighbridges are checked annually for accuracy and randomly spot-checked by Trading Standards.

PERSONAL SERVICE FROMSTART TO FINISH

We want to make sure that you feel looked after. So, no matter whether you need our scrappage, recycling or clearance/collection services just once, or on an ongoing basis, a member of our office team will be allocated to take care of you. They’ll be there to book times that suit you, to answer questions you may have and to ensure that you get paid what we promised you, when we promised you’d be paid.

We’ve built ourselves a business to be proud of, with state-of-the-art, heavy-duty plant and machinery, weighing equipment, advanced pricing software and a fabulous team to rival the biggest of competitors.
Best Of all we’ve built a reputation for service with a smile, honesty to a fault and fair price paid more quickly into our customers accounts.

CHARITABLE COMMITMENTS

Haven House Hospice is a charity that’s close to our hearts here at 7/11. They do amazing work supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families, and over the years they have become our charity of choice.

If you have a house or garden to clear, and you would like to contribute to a worthy cause, we’ll pick up all your metal or uPVC (for free if it weighs more than a tonne, there will be a charge if it’s less) and we’ll donate the value of your waste to Haven House. And, if your company wishes to share the value of its recycling with Haven House Hospice we can arrange that for you too, all you need to do is ask.

ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE

Scrapyards like ours are on the frontline of the environmental revolution in this country, helping individuals with a passion for all things ecological and businesses with corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments to fulfil.

We help anyone and everyone to turn their metals, electricals and uPVC into the raw materials manufacturers can use to create new products – reducing the need for mining and mineral processing, lessening the production of CO2 and pollution, and making sure that your recyclable waste doesn’t end up in landfill polluting the planet.

JUST A FEW OF THE WAYS WE STRIVE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE EVERY DAY.

FORS ACCREDITATION FOR ALL OUR VEHICLES

Our demonstration of excellence in fuel efficiency and vehicle emissions, best practices and safety. We are committed to the economic and ecological operation of every part of our business.

INVESTMENT IN THE LATEST EQUIPMENT

Our investment of eye-watering sums in new lifting, crushing, shredding and weighing technology aims to make our yard super-efficient – shortening wait times, reducing energy use, and ensuring fairer payments.

WORKING TOWARDS NET ZERO

Every business is a carbon producer, but we do our best every day to work towards efficiencies in equipment, paper-use, in-office recycling and vehicle routing to ensure that we are working towards our net zero goal.

As an ethical business we do all we can to minimise the amount of metal and uPVC waste that ends up in landfill so we can all be kinder to our planet.

Every car, motorbike, van and minibus that you scrap with us, every boiler, girder, reel of cable or skip full of windows and doors you sell to us, will make a difference – to your bank balance and to the environment. So, thank you.
